MARIE-THERES OKRESEK

We are pleased to welcome Marie-Theres Okresek as a new board member at Europan Austria.

Marie-Theres Okresek, Dipl.-Ing., studied landscape architecture from 1996 to 2001 at the Technical University of Munich-Weihenstephan and at the University of Évora (Portugal).

From 1997 to 2003, she worked as a freelance landscape architect. In 2001, she founded the firm bauchplan ). ( in Munich, followed by a second office location in Vienna in 2004.

From 2006 to 2007, she held a teaching position in landscape architecture and design at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna. In addition, she gives lectures and serves as a guest critic at universities and colleges, including in Linz, Graz, Coburg, Vienna, Munich, Kassel, Rapperswil, and Stuttgart, as well as at the Academy of Arts in Berlin.

Since 2005, Marie-Theres Okresek has been a member of the Bavarian Chamber of Architects and the Architektur Interest Group in Vienna.She regularly serves as a jury member for competitions and gives lectures in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

Since 2023, she has been a member of the jury for the German Urban Development Award and served as its chair that same year. She is also a member of the design advisory board at HOWOGE Berlin.
